RESTAURANT ROW REDUX
A former paint store is transformed into a bustling neighborhood corner destination, housing two acclaimed restaurants. Redeveloped by Reworks, this vintage 1920s industrial building contains several solid-sawn structural beams that measure over three feet deep and span fifty feet. Renovation included a complete overhaul of the structure, and the massive beams were returned to their original beauty.
New utilities and facilities were needed to accommodate the varying uses of the space. New entryways clad in ipe, plantings and raw steel awnings enhance and delineate the storefronts; large sliding wood windows provide natural light for the interiors as well as an inviting glimpse for passersby.
